French fries debate served with legal papers Before food purveyors ask if you want fries with that, they probably should call their attorneys.

A group called Environmental World Watch has issued a notice of intention to sue both KFC and Wendy's under provisions of California's Proposition 65 cancer-warning statute, because of the chemical acrylamide in their french fries.

Several food product manufacturers also were served with 60-day notices over acrylamide on the same day. Previously, a group called the Council for Education and Research on Toxins filed lawsuit notices stating the same reasons against McDonald's and …
