NSW: Foo fighting for three week visa
An independent tribunal will rule today on whether illegal immigrant JIM FOO can stayanother three weeks in Australia to tie up his business affairs.
The Migration Review Tribunal interviewed Mr FOO and some of his associates yesterdayto decide whether to uphold an Immigration Department decision denying him a bridgingvisa.
The businessman, who's overstayed a holiday visa granted in 1994, is due to be deportedto Singapore, where he's the subject of police interest.
But Mr FOO has asked to remain in Australia until September the 7th, to put his businessaffairs in order.
