SA: Woman survives two nights after mine shaft fall
A woman who survived two nights after falling down a disused mine shaft on her property
in the Adelaide Hills has been rescued.
DENISE WOOD, who's 44, fell about 30 metres after a section of ground covering the
opening of a mine shaft, near the town of Strathalbyn, gave way early Saturday morning.
A South Australian Ambulance spokesman says she was found in waist-deep water but escaped
serious injury.
