PINE BUSH HEARINGCRITICS TO DESCEND ON ALBANY COUNCIL.(Local)

Preservationists opposed to the development of the Pine Bush are expected to give the Albany Planning Board a piece of their mind tonight.

Set for 7 p.m. at the Albany Common Council chambers, a public hearing will be held to solicit comments about a draft environmental-impact statement reviewing the cumulative impact development would have on the environmentally sensitive pine barrens.

Not surprisingly, city Planning Director Willard Bruce said he anticipated many of the comments would be negative.

"Most of the people who turn out at public hearings are not satisfied by what's in the report being discussed," …
